This Privacy Policy describes how Brainstormd (“we”, “our”) handles information when you use our desktop app, website, and related services, and the choices you have. We respect your privacy and aim to collect only what we need to provide the Service.
1. Information we collect
We collect the minimum information needed to operate the Service. This may include account information you provide (such as an email address), content you choose to sync to our servers, payment information processed by our payment provider, and limited usage information such as request counts and error logs.
Brainstormd is local-first. Your notes and canvases live on your own device unless you explicitly enable cloud sync.
2. How we use information
We use information to provide the features you request, process payments, communicate with you about your account, keep the Service secure, and improve reliability. We do not sell your personal information, do not run advertising, and do not use your content to train AI models.
3. Sharing
We share information only with service providers that help us operate the Service (such as payment processing, infrastructure hosting, and optional AI inference), and only as needed for them to perform their function. We may also share information when required by law.
4. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong password and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
5. Retention and deletion
We retain your account information and content for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.
7. Children
Brainstormd is not directed to children under the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email before they take effect.
